Natural homemade Fertilizers for Plants:
Fertilizers are very important for the growth and productiveness of plants. Most fertilizers contain nitrogen, potassium, calcium, and phosphorous that are essential components for the rapid growth of plants. Fertilizers available in the market are mostly expensive.
Natural fertilizers can be made at home with very simple methods as explained below:
1. Onion Peel Fertilizer:
Onion peel fertilizer is a natural source of Potassium, Calcium, Iron, Copper, and Magnesium that are essential for the growth of plants. It increases the resistance of plants against diseases, helps in the dgrowth of roots and stems, and increases the productivity of plants.
Making:
Take onion peels of 4-5 onions in a jar and fill it with water. Cover the jar with lid and keep it for 2 days in a warm place. After 2 days, strain in a different jar. Potassium rich organic concentrate is ready to use as a fertilizer.
How to Use:
- Dilute the fertilizer in 1:2 (1 Liter fertilizer in 2 Liter water) to make 3 liters of fertilizer.
- Pour 50 ml (1/2 cup) of fertilizer directly to the soil.
- Spray on leaves through spray bottle to get better results.
- Repeat the process after 1 week.
2. Banana Peel Fertilizer:

- Dilute the fertilizer in 1:3 (1 Liter fertilizer and 3 Liter water) to make 4 Liters of fertilizer.
- Pour 50 ml (1/2 cup) of fertilizer directly to the soil.
- Spray on leaves through spray bottle to get better results.
- Repeat the process after 1 week.
3. Used Tea Fertilizer:

- Add 1-2 spoons directly on the soil of the plant.
- Mix it in the compost for better productivity.
- Repeat the process after 1 week.
